Technical Project Lead (Energy Transition)

Annual Salary: EUR 75.000 – 120.000

Function:

The strategic site projects portfolio consists out of multiple projects (10+) ranging from a CAPEX spent from 50k-200M funded by Nobian or third parties. Depending on the type of project management of these projects is performed by a central project manager of Nobian, by a third party or by yourself as strategic project manager of site Delfzijl. The site organization plays an important role in defining the required outside battery limit (OSBL) scope of all of these projects because they all have technical interfaces with existing assets at site Delfzijl and/or its Brinefields.

The Technical Projects lead keeps the overview of the total strategic portfolio in terms of the current phase of the projects and their milestone schedules, the required site resources, combined with cost control and cost allocations requires good and frequent communication with all project managers and site stakeholders. The translation of all available information into a total site portfolio which shows the total site impact of all strategic projects is a complex and constant changing activity which requires good management skills supplemented with experience and understanding of the existing assets and their interconnection.

Managing the strategic projects OSBL scope means that you are accountable for defining all the sites critical scope elements regarding technical interfaces between new- and existing assets (Electric, I/A, piping, rotating, civil) to be incorporated into the total project scope which can either be managed by a central project manager or a third party.

Responsibility:

Furthermore the Technical Projects lead is responsible for:

Define a continuous and multiyear strategic site project portfolio in corporation with all valid stakeholders at site- and central level and/or in close collaboration with third parties;
Initiate, present and govern a realistic site strategic portfolio including all required interfaces with the site’s existing assets incorporating expected site costs, available and required site resources and site risks and opportunities;
Project management of the required technical interfaces with the existing assets at the site as part of the total scope of the strategic project managed by a central project manager or third party;
Taking care of the interface scope by formulating project plans, determining budgets and required site resources and clarifying role and involvement levels of team members, and preparing and translating these into project requirements and deliverables;
Coach and develop all team members and hold them accountable for delivery of results;
Build and maintain a network with the central projects management & excellence team.

Job requirements:

Bachelor / Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably supplemented with strategic project management skills/courses;
Minimum of 10 years relevant experience;
Developed and proven skills in stakeholder management;
Proven experience with handling compliance and legislation issues;
Design experience is preferred;
Language: Dutch and/or English.
