Our green hydrogen is a by-product of chlorine and caustic production, which is based on salt water electrolysis

Produced with renewable energy, certified Green Hydrogen holds a very low carbon footprint (at least 70% compared to fossil based benchmark Hydrogen) and is certified by an approved notification body applying a qualified certification scheme (CertifHy, TÜV CMS 70).

Nobian has certified its Rotterdam and Delzijl Chlor-Alkali plants in the Netherlands under the CertifHy® scheme. Both plants sell CertifHy® Guarantees of Origin (GoO).

Nobian’s Bitterfeld site in Germany is certified by the TÜV-Süd CMS 70® scheme.

The two other sites (Frankfurt am Main and Ibbenbüren) in Germany will follow shortly.
