Nobian will directly supply calcium chloride (CaCl₂) from its site in Frankfurt, following the conclusion of our long-term supply agreement with Tetra Chemicals Europe. With this step we take full control of the delivery and customer support process, expanding our essential chemicals portfolio, and providing customers with shorter supply chains and direct access to Nobian’s customer service.

Calcium chloride 

Calcium chloride is a versatile inorganic salt used in a wide range of applications such as de-icing, dust control, food production, oil and gas, and water treatment. The global market for calcium chloride is experiencing robust growth, driven by expanding infrastructure and construction activity, increasing demand for effective de-icing solutions, and stricter fine dust abatement requirements.

Environmental advantages 

The use of calcium chloride offers environmental advantages in several applications. For example, it is less corrosive than traditional road salt for de-icing, and in water treatment it helps remove suspended solids, heavy metals and phosphates, contributing to improved water quality.

Growing customer demand 

Nobian’s decisions aligns with growing customer demand and supports our commitment to offer reliable and more sustainable essential chemical solutions. Nobian has a long-standing history of high quality calcium chloride production at our site in Frankfurt. Going forward, we will now also fully reintegrate calcium chloride into our commercial portfolio, leveraging our own high-quality feedstock and long-standing production expertise.
